James Baleno, President and CEO of Syracuse Hair Industry and Fashion Team, saw an opportunity to bring to Syracuse soemthing that we didn't have. Since he started in the Hair Styling industry, Mr. Baleno was always frustrated by the fact that there never seemed to be local opportunities for continuing education and networking within the industry.

Being a self starter, he decided to start a business to bring the opportunities normally found only at the major hair shows to Syracuse. In his own words, "Let's face it, most of us starting out in this business don't have the time or the money to go travelling all over to see all the latest trends and techniques. Despite the fact that Syracuse is not yet seen as a viable venue for a national Hair Show, I think that we can bring a local hair show with national flavor. It will also give us a chance to connect with each other and make our personal and professional networks that much stronger."
